Imo; My State

In one of the proverbs in our Owere Dialect, it says "Nga okwugburu onwe ya nu, omegburu onwe ya nu kwa ngaa". Our state; Imo is gradually turning into epicentre of drama and grand-stage for theatricals. Hence, it'll really be selfish and disservice for any well meaning Imolite to look the other way and pretend that all's well.

While the like of my good friend Obinna Osuagwu writes for the "Structural Change" of the entire polity, I'll dwell in making case for the workability of the present "Structure", at least for now. In as much as it's unarguable that 'Fiscal/True Federalism' is the 'Sole Ultimate' for Nigeria and our respective Governments confused of what are expected of them, the 'Trial and Error" is well going off the cliff.

Imo State is now an epitome of "One Week - One Protest". And for a State that has its three (3) striving industries as Hotels, Fuel-Stations and Banks shutting down services of some major Banks in the state, really calls for questions on its Admin. If the basic functions of Governance is to: Provide enabling Environment for Industries to flourish, Regulate the operations of such Industries and striking a balance between different Classes while protecting the interest and advancing the condition of all the people, how has our State Government faired in these??

The "Best" our dear 'Roche Admin' can boast of thus far is "Free Education at All Level" with the inherent 'Opportunity Cost' of 30% Admisson Quota for our Sons, Daughters, Brothers and Sisters of Imo origin. This is notwithstanding the payment of Twenty Thousand (N20,000) Naira for the processing of this 'One of a Kind' University Free Education by any Imolite who's lucky enough to be offered admission in our State owned Institutions which have been made Bazaar grounds for 70% Non-Imolites.

Our Roche goes about drumming this 'Wonderful Achievement' into the ear of anyone that cares to listen in his Wasteful Publicity Stunts. What many of us do not know is that many States in Nigeria are doing a lot better without wasting any fund and time in 'Noise Making'. Let me use Kano State to buttress my point. In Kano State University of Technology Wudil, Indigenes pay Eighteen Thousand (N18,000) Naira and no one goes about calling it "Free Education".

And the State Government isn't milking Non-Indigenes with Exorbitant Fees to balance his deficiencies, as they pay N40,000 only for tuition. Primary and Secondary education is also FREE while the Government even buys JAMB Form for any Student that makes the 5-Compulsory Subjects and pays Bursary every academic session. Yet, Kwankwaso floated another State University; North-West University and has been doing great also in Road Construction, City Beautifications and Housing Estates. Even Gombe State is doing real great in infrastructural developments compared to Imo, notwithstanding that status as one of the poorest states in terms of allocations but none of these States go about sounding their trumpets.

While our Roche is empowering Youths with 'Keke' Tricycle as an Oil-Producing State, Kwankasiyya is doing same with Toyota Corolla (2010-Model) for Taxis and Toyota Lite-Ace for Buses in his 'Amana' program in Kano. And in this 'hide-n-seek' game being played by Roche and his JPros, who's that Contractor that will be awarded any contract in Kano State without executing to the last detail of the project awarded to him??

When one express his/her view/s, Roche apologists will retort with their "PDP Paid Agents!" name-calling. For their info, I've never been a member of PDP or any Political Party at that and don't wish to be a member until such a time when Parties shall be driven by Intelligent People in a well Captured Ideologies and definite Structured Socioeconomic environment. But before then, I'll continue  to spite our Emir Roche of Imo State for depriving Imolites the only enterprise; Education where we have "Comparative Advantage" over others in his 3:7 Admission Ratio in favour of Non-Indigenes. As he cannot provide the enabling environment that will attract Investors and Industries to the State, the least expected of him is to allow us assess to education so that we can at least equip ourselves while going to the "Ends of the World" to seek for Employments.

IGBOS! Let's Wake Up from this Our Political Slumber..........

I read one of our 'Political Hybrid' Igbo saying that he'll rather be a Bench Warmer in Super-Eagles (National Team/Party) than be a Regular Player in 'Enyimba FC of Aba' or 'Rangers of Enugu' (Regional Team/Party). That's his way of promoting APC over APGA. And I promptly replied him that I'll rather die fighting for National Recognition of 'Heartland of Owerri' and 'Abia Warriors' than promoting '3SC of Oyo' or 'Osun United' to the National Team level.

The only weapon the likes of this fellow always use to attack us (those defending for a platform that will project Igbo Agenda and Ideologies) is name-calling. Words like; Uncivilised, Traditional, Tribalistic, Bigot, Myopic, Sentimental, etc. always come handy to them. And I keep asking when the Igbos that are the most traveled and most free-minded tribe in Nigeria became Tribalistic than our co-tenants: Awusa and Ofe-Mmanu of this land-area called Nigeria? Or do these our Hybrid Igbos suffering from Inferiority Complex now want to tell us that they're more Civilized than USA? If African-Americans, Indians, Latinos, etc. in USA always associate, belong, identify and prefer Democrats to ' White-Supremacist' Republicans, what's then tribalistic in Igbos doing same with APGA over APC?? Or is Nigerians now also more Civilized than Germans who have 'Christian Democratic Union' and 'Christian Social Union' as Political parties??? I put it to anyone that if USA were practising Multi-Party system, all these ethnicities would've floated their respective Political Parties to project the Interests.

What's 'National' about APC that isn't 'International' in APGA?
What's 'Cocastic' about their Members that isn't 'Fantastic' about APGA?
What's 'Twoderful' about their Structure that isn't 'Wonderful' about APGA?
What's 'Sweet' about being an Appendage to Awusa-Ofe Mmanu that isn't 'Honey' in Igbos writing their own History?

What's our (Igbos) stake in the so called national party "PDP" that Igbos (Alex Ekwueme, Emeka Offor, Jim Nwaobodo, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Orji Uzor Kalu, to mention but this few) formed? I've associated, argued, discussed and mingled with Awusa and Ofe-Mmanu people so much that I can perceive their smell 10miles away. The much Igbos can ever get if they should agree to the 2nd-Wife in this Unholy Marriage called APC is;
Perpetual reminding by Awusa that we (Igbos) joined because they're afraid of being Killed by their Boko-Haram.
While, Ofe-Mmanu shall forever boast that they coerced us (Igbos) to join because of their Political Sophistication over us.

Umunnem na Umunnam, let's wake up from our Political Slumber and rid ourselves of this terminal disease called "Inferiority Complex". There's NOTHING Awusa or Ofe-Mmanu person can do for Igbos that we can not do for ourselves.

You Remember this Pix? It's getting to 3-weeks old now. As a Confessed Christian, I know that anyone in Christ is a 'New Creature'. And I've also experienced and still experiencing the 'Powers of Prayer' when rendered in the 'Will' of Almighty God, and not to gain 'Cheap Publicity' as the 'Pharisees of Old'.

Since the return of our Dr. Jona after this session of 'Binding and Casting' at his Jerusalem Excursion called Pilgrimage, I've been looking out to see a 'New Person' (or a 'New President' for those that'll love it this way) in him. But lo and behold, 'what we see is still what we get': ASUU is still on Strike, Oduahgate is still Unresolved, Crude-Oil is still Pilfered, Our Environment is still heated more from Politics than from Climate-Change, Farouk verse Otedola match is still goalless, Kidnapping, Armed-Robbery and Militancy are still on the increase, Corruption is still a Daily Routine, so on and so forth. Which one has passed away, and which one has been made new???

Whenever I look at this Pix, I keep asking myself if these people were praying for 'Bro. Jona's Personal Salvation' or 'As Mr. President and C-in-C of a Nation' or 'Using him as a point of contact to supplicate for the entire nation to henceforth break off from the Demons of Docility, and start being Good Leaders and Good Followers' or 'were they simply posing for a shut from the presidential photo-journalist in the Tomb of our Saviour'????

Some people will say, it's too early to tell or that I'm judging........but my Holy Bible tells me that even Zacchaeus became a 'New Person' the very second he met with our Christ. So, for the fact that none of these people in the pix has changed, doesn't mean that there is no 'Power in the Name of Christ' but that they only prayed according to their respective 'Wills'  and not according to the 'Will of Almighty God'.

One other thing before I hang my pen for today, I'm a Confessed and Practising Christian but CAN-President do NOT in anyway represent me in my Articles of Belief, Faith and Trust in Almighty God through Christ Jesus. When the 11 remaining Disciples of Christ wanted to replace Judas Iscariot, they Prayed and Casted Lot as led by Holy Spirit. But whenever CAN want to elect President, they Cast, Bind and Lobby against the Holy Spirit.

Now that all protocols have been observed, I'll humbly ask my Question:
"What is/are the plan/s of this State Administration for our 'Leaders of  Tomorrow' YOUTHS?"
I sincerely feel that this question is pertinent considering all that's happening in my State: Imo.

First, our Emir in a single wave of his hand, terminated 10,000 Jobs miraculously given to our Graduates (Young men and women of Imo Origin) by one of our 'Worse' past Governors. As if this wasn't enough, he has been making about 30,000 Young Graduates dance Naked in Marketplaces in a sort of "Ido Akpiri Ogologo" Policy called YOUTH MUST WORK. Yet, he creates all sorts of Political Positions but fill them with all sorts of Youths of Non-Imo Origin.

As bad as these may sound, it doesn't pain me as this 70%-Non Indigenes to 30%-Imolites Admission Ratio in our State's Institutions of Higher Learning. Our Emir with these policies, is 'Killing the Future of our Secondary School Leavers' while 'Burying the Fate of our Young Graduates'. This 70-30 Admisson Ratio is paining so much because I happen to graduate from one of the Federal Universities outside Imo State. I can still remember how I was made to pass through the 'eye of a needle' throughout the course of my study. The admission ratio was more than 60% for the State where this institution is situated, 30% for its neighbouring States and 10% for Catchment Area. This is notwithstanding that the institution is a FEDERAL UNIVERSITY. Some people had to change their names from Igbo and Christian to that of other Tribes and Religion to be able to gain admission into these Institutions.

Don't know how many of us have taken time to study JAMB Brochure to note that Students of Imo Origin have the least advantage on Catchment Area in Federal Institutions of Higher Learning. And it takes only divine intervention called Miracle to gain admission into the State Institutions of most other states of Nigeria. Yeah, someone will say that those states are doing the wrong thing but they're securing the Future of their Youths by making the admission of their Indigenes the Priority. Soon, they'll graduate and occupy the very few employment positions in our Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies while thier Imo counterparts are still rewriting JAMB to be able to gain admission in their own State University built and funded by the Taxes paid by their parents and commonwealth of Imolites.

Welcome to the "Religious Mumudom of Naija"

: After reading the Open Letter of Lagbaja to Okey Ndibe yesterday, it'll be "Suicidal Wisdom" to agree less on all the issues listed in the interesting piece. The letter captured only what transpired in this "Mumudom" in a space of just 2 Weeks. As an Engineer whose professional training includes "Interpolation", it'll be "Sheer Unpalatable" to try 'Extrapolating'  these happenings to a Space of 1 Month or 1 Year. Naijas 'might' not be Good in a lot of things, but we're simply the Best in "Shock Absorbing". If a quarter of the things that happen in this "Mumudom" and make us "Smile" happen in other Kingdoms, the world would've long witnessed another round of "Human Evolution". But in the "Religious Mumudom of Naija" all we do is to "Hope and Pray" thereby becoming the only "Human Species" that're 'Suffering and Smiling' (Royalty to Baba Fela Kuti). The other thing that the "Suffer-Immuned Citizens" of this Great Mumudom are good at is 'Sentimental Accusation'. The Ruled accuses the Rulers and vice-versa, either on Tribal or Religious grounds. But as a 'Special Specie' of humans, we still "Disunitedly" pay our "Civic Allegiance" to the Mumudom. It's very hard to read or write about this Mumudom without concluding that it's "Amalgamatedly" divided between "Christian" South and "Muslim" North. Every Citizen of this Mumudom claims one of the "Faith", even the Jujumen; (Babalawos and Dibias). One preaches LOVE and the other preaches PEACE but unfortunately,  these two "Binding Forces" happen to be exactly what the Mumudom (both Ruled and Rulers) are Greatly LACKING. This is so because the "Christian LOVE" has been replaced with "Secular Materialism", while the "Muslim PEACE" is about being hijacked by "Fundamental Extremists". If Atheist nations like China can get it Right, a "Religious Mumudom" like Naija should have been a "Paradise on Earth" long ago. Again,  because we're Special Specie of Humans, all the Blessings Almighty God bestowed on this Mumudom have all "Evolved" into Curses with our collective help. Finally, I ask..........."Do we really need REVOLUTION in this Mumudom to get things Right?".

A Clearing & Forwarding Company owned by British Prime Minister is Advertising for Agents with Speciality in "Gay Clearing". Start up Salary is £1.2 million per Month. Since the "Arrogant Boasting" of Mr. David Cameron (or rather Mr. Makossa Cameron as Biblical names aren't for his types) of  "Exporting Gay Globally", I've been wondering what can ever give a "Mortal" man such 'Arrant Boldness'. This kind of Confidence can only come either from Almighty God or Satan. Then, I've also been wondering what Mr. Cameron would use to "Disguisingly" Package his Gays for Export. Our Electronics/Gadgets come mainly from Japan, Germany, USA, France, South-Korea, Singapore and China, almost same places our Cars come from. The only things Britain can proudly claim to has Exported are Colonialism,  Indirect Rule and Amalgamation. India, Pakistan, Ghana and Nigeria can always testify to that as Aborigines of Australia and New Zealand where Her Royal Majesty Queen Lizzy is still "Head of State" can testify what they're passing through now. If his brother in "Secularism" Mr. Obama had dropped this "Brag", it would've been "Pardonable" as USA can always Package her "Gay" in I-pad, I-phone, Hummer Jeep, GMC, Chevrolet, Ford Motors, etc. Therefore, it is pertinent that we ask Mr. Cameron to please tell us what his Clearing Agents around the World should be looking out for in this "Global Export". Will he be bringing a Man with his Man spouse and Children to show us how 'Perfect' a "Gay Family" can be?? Please Sir, I need "Clearing" too on this Issue but certainly not "Forwarding".

HOW MANY "GOD" DO WE HAVE NOW IN OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH?????
Almighty God in His introduction to Moses in "The Burning Bush" (Exodus 3:6) said that "I am the God of your fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And those of us who reads on "Context" knows what Almighty God is simply saying, is that "He has been the God of our Progenitors and shall also be our God", if only we Accept and Allow Him in Our Lives.
But what is heard and read from many of our "New Generation Churches" in Nigeria now, seems to make God an "Exclusive Right" of some people. It is now so common to hear CHRISTIANS exclaim:
"God of Chosen!", "God of Oyedepo!", "God of Adeboye!", "God of Pastor Chris!" "God of TB-Joshua!", "God of etc!".
And it's also worth noting that these above mentioned names that have "God" attachments, do NOT all agree with the Teaching and Calling of one another. Therefore, their "God" must certainly be different too......which prompted my question above; "How many 'God' do we have, now in our Christian faith?".
The Gospel of John, chapter 1 verse 12 "But as many as received Him, to then He gave the right to become children of God, ......"
So like the Biblical Joshua, The Almighty is "God of McAndy" for He has proven Himself ever faithful in my life and that of my family, and shall be to you "God of Whoever" you call Him.......as many are now doing as I've listed above.

NEW WORLD ORDER

The "New World Order" with a "Mark" of an "All Seeing Eye";
I watched different versions of documentaries on "New World Order" with their "All Seeing Eye" trademarks as controlled by "Illuminati" and "Freemason" on YouTube, and it dawned on me that many people have unwittingly "Tattooed" themselves into this fold. I aslo watched those that tried dissipating the worries on this "Order" as hoax but every discerning person should ask him/herself some pertinent questions to know if there's really nothing to worry about the "All Seeing Eye" Symbol.
The Avenue, Expertise, Resources and Time invested in promoting this Symbol in almost all fields of human life is really worrisome.
The two major drives of this Generation; (Entertainment and Fashion) have been completely taken over by this "Eye" and those it's "Seeing" for. Varying modifications of this "Eye" are seen in most Hollywood movies, Musical videos, Service/Product Adverts and even CARTOONS! They're always placed too silently but very strategically that every analytical mind should care to know the message the producers of these clips really want to pass across with it, if not to make us know that "They're in Control".
What's so "Charming" about this "Eye" symbol that it now appears in everything "Worldly Elite" in this Generation?? From what we know about movies and musical videos production, everything, human, scenes and pictures are all meant to convey a "Bit-n-Piece" of the Whole message or critics shall tear such clips into "Bits" of "Pieces". What then is this "All Seeing Eye" doing in Simpson & Family, and in other cartoon movies??
I thought that 18years is the "Global Ripe Year of Exposure", why then subject KIDS to this controversial "Symbol"??? Are these people feeling that they're running out of time in conquering the entire world????
These same people feeling that their "Symbol" on their clothe-lines as designs and patterns aren't spreading fast, reintroduced "Tattoos" into our Modern-day Fashion trends. By which they killed two birds with a stone; Making the "Marks" spread across the globe within a very small space of Time, beating the hassles of Export and Supply-Chain. And 2. Making adherents wear these "Marks" PERMANENTLY instead of Temporarily (the very much achieved with Clothes).
But what will make a Confessed and Professed Christian (knowing all the Holy Bible says about our "Bodies as the Holy Temples" of Almighty God) to mutilate his/her Body in the name of "Tattoo Fashion", should be very "Powerful".
Why not ask yourself what you really stand to gain by identifying with this "Worldly Order" cum "Self-Expression and Self-Worship" that champions Immoralities via "BIG BROTHER" Reality TV-Shows, Songs Lyrics, Movies Story-lines, Dance-Steps, Clothes Design-Patterns and Skin-Imprints instead of observing "Almighty God's Standard" for your Life.
Why following after the "Crowd" when we came to this "World" individually???
Why must you "seem" Relevant by Imitating????
Let's STOP compromising our Christian Faith, and START defending it with our Attitudes and Utterances..........."ENTERTAINMENT and FASHION"!!!!

TATTOOED@18

I always LAUGH whenever I see Ladies displaying some "Strategic Parts" of their bodies for everyone to see their TATTOOS as if they've just invented "Micro-Chips" that can prevent the Sun from emitting Heat and causing Climate-Change. Tattoo isn't new and shall someday be "Old Fashioned" once more.
My Grand-Mum and her Generation had TATTOO but my Mum and her Generation saw it as "Archaic". Go to any hinterland and villages from Benue State down South of Nigeria and check any woman 90years and above to confirm what I'm saying. Then check our Mums between 50-75years residing in Urban and Semi-Urban areas to see if there are any Tottoos on thier bodies.
So it beats me silly when anyone EXPOSES part of his/her body that's "MORALLY" and "COMMON-SENSICALLY" supposed to be covered, just because he/she want to display more than a "CENTURY OLD" Fashion that our Fathers and Mothers with all their "OLD-SCHOOLNESS" mocked our Grannies on.
I bet anyone with TATTOO now that they shall someday be MOCKED by their Grand-Kids, if not their own Kids.
Fashion had and must always be a MOVING-TRAIN (TREND), anyone that makes it a STATIONARY-MARK(PERMANENT) on his/her Body shall live to REGRET IT someday.

My second issue which's not that quite different from the first, is this 18years (Cut-Off Age) for EVERYTHING.
We've so "locked our look" on USA and its other Western sister-nations that we seem to forget completely the REALITY ON GROUND in our own Society. Nigeria and many other African nations should be charged and prosecuted for PIRACY because of their high rate of COPYING NONSENSE from other Climes. We so COPY all their EVILS "Hook-Line-Sinker" without any recourse to our African Peculiarities. Why do we love deceiving ourselves that an 18year old American is same with 18year old Nigerian?????
How many 18year old Nigerians can walk up to his/her parents and tell them that he/she wanna have a talk with them about his/her intention of moving out of their family house???? How old was Rihanna, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, etc when people started celebrating them globally???? Or have we forgotten that our Rulers have made our environment in Nigeria so harsh "ECONOMICALLY" that human now develops too LATE in our Society. Why do Nigeria use men that are over 25years for Under-16 Football Competition? Why do Nollywood still cast "Aki and Paw-Paw" as under-13s in their Movies? Why do Taye Taiwo and his twin brother claim different age in different society???
My former Branch Manager was a 24year old American trained French guy but he would've passed for a 45year old African if he were painted "Black". All I'm saying here is that the "Gulf-Wide" difference in the Economic situations of the Western world to that of Africa have also made "Heaven to Earth" difference in their 18year olds. While most 18year old in Nigeria are still "Daddy's Kids" and "Mommy's Pets", their counterparts in USA are already "Men and Women"!!
Therefore, let's recognise this "Ocean-Wide" difference in the "Mental Capabilities and Developments" of these two sets of people and stop this CLASSIFICATION of Movies and Some TV-programmes like BIG BROTHER AFRICA "18 and above" as our Analytical Strength and Reasoning are quite different. Can any reasonable parents in Africa allow their 18year old son or daughter to participate in this Ignoble BBA???
Please let's STOP this Unnecessary Exposure of our "Kid-Men" and "Kid-Women" in the name of "Reality TV-Shows" and 18+ Tag!!!!

Is't because we PLAY POLITICS so Dirty in Nigeria the reason why everyone seem to see Politics as Anti-Christian? But I've seen people lobbying to be voted in as Station/Parish Council and PCC members in my home Catholic and Anglican Churches respectively. I've also seen people canvassing with their "Pretentious Righteousness" to be elected as Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses in our "New Generation" Churches in my new abode. To the best of my knowledge, wherever there are "LOBBYING", "CANVASSING" and "ELECTING", there exists "POLITICS". And the story of "Casting of lot" abounds in the Holy Bible, even in the replacing of Judas Iscariot.
Yeah, some people will like to introduce "Holy Spirit" to the Scene now. Of course, Holy Spirit should guide and lead us in ALL our everyday actions and utterances, including POLITICS. But because we go with Attitudes from Monday through Saturday that are completely different from our Sunday Attitudes, and the Holy Spirit not being INCONSISTENT in Character has decided to Exempt His Holy Self from most of our Actions and Utterances including Politics. That's why the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara is the News since the recent past.
But come oooh, if all that's in Church is "Holy Spirit" and NO "Politics", why all the "Black or White Smoke" and "Conclusive and Inconclusive Conclave"?? How're they arrived at, and what's used to "Untie" the Draw??? You and I know that there's NO WAY Holy Spirit can convey Two or more names for ONE "Holy See" Position.
So my dear "Umunnem", let's STOP deceiving Ourselves and call a Spade; "SPADE!".
If we really want to Play "POLITICS" devoured Rot, let's start this second to make HOLY SPIRIT part and parcel of ALL our Everyday Activities, Dealings, Transactions and Utterances. It's only then that we can be able to Elect a Bishop or even Ordain a Priest without "Politics" and "Rancour".
I know many will not like this, but "Okwuni ga n'ekwu uche ya, omeni emee ihe ri ya nma".

"FIGURE OF SPEECH" or "FIGURATIVE PREACHING and PRAYING"???
I so much thank God that there are no places in our present configuration of world map called Babylon or Sodom and Gomorrah. Sincerely, I won't like to hail from such places even as the richest man in the world, not only due to their Biblical incidents but mainly because of the kind of "Metaphorical" statements that would've been made out of them.
What the words "Egypt" and "Jericho" are presently suffering in the hands of some of my follow Christians should give us concern. These Christians seem to forget that there are people and devoted Christians still living in these climes. The way they go about praying that "all the Egyptians you see in your life today, you'll see them no more" as if the word "Egyptians" do not mean Real Men and Women in our present era. Same goes for "Jericho" and its wall.
Yeah, The Holy Bible has records of incidents both good and bad of these places just as it has of many other places but why some Christians decided to associate these places with only the bad, is what I'll "Thank" someone for explaining to me. Moreover, I'm yet to see or read in The Holy Bible where these "Nouns" were used in any form of PRAYERS. If there's, I'll "Thank" again anyone that'll point it out for me.
So my dear brethren, let's STOP this OVERFLOODING of our Christian Principles which GRAMMATICAL Concord and Aesthetic.................and CONCENTRATE only on Praising, Worshipping and Praying to Almighty God.

Sunday Evening Sermon.......

Please my dear friends and readers, I really need clarification on this.........
I'm a Christian and by His infinite Grace, a strong believer of Jesus Christ and His teachings, which one of the most pivotal is on PRAYERS.
In His Gospel as recorded by St. Matthew chapter 6 verses 5 and following, He gave specific rules on how to PRAY. In chapter 7 verse 9 through 11, He compared PRAYER to a son asking from his earthy father. And my dictionary tells me that PRAYER is an act of communicating (communing) with Almighty God. But the way some people PRAY these days, makes me wonder if they're "Communing" with God or "Commanding" God or out rightly "Supplicating" to Satan.
As Christ Jesus rightly pointed out in His allegory, no "Reasonable" son can ever ask from his earthly father by "SHOUTING". But some people now SHOUT to Almighty God in the name of PRAYERS. Any Prayer that's not laced with Shouting ingredients of "Code-mixing" and "Pitch-switching" in Grammar Finesse and Voice Synthesis is no longer seen as "Powerful" or should I use "Dangerous Prayer" as they call it now. People now PLAY "Shouting Game" in the name of PRAYER, and see those of us who don't SHOUT as not "PRAYING". Accounts of Jesus Praying abounds in the Gospel but none recorded His words because they weren't heard as He never SHOUTED. That was why His Apostles after watching Him PRAY in the Gospel of Luke chapter 11 verse 1, asked Him to teach them how to PRAY. It's obvious that if He had been SHOUTING His PRAYERS, they would've crammed His wordings and wouldn't had asked Him to teach them how to PRAY.
Another issue is who to direct our PRAYERS. Our Saviour Jesus enjoined us to ask our Heavenly Father (Almighty God) everything in His name. That's to say that ALL PRAYERS should be channelled to God, while we wait for Him to take actions on them as answers to our Prayers. But the manner, mode and way some people Pray now makes one wonder if they're not directly "supplicating" to Satan. The Bible made us to know in the Book of Jude verse 9 that even Arcangel Michael directed his demand on the rebuke of Satan to Almighty God to handle. But some people have made it a habit of Prayer to be directing Prayers to Satan in the name of challenging him to a contest, while leaving God out of the equation.

"KNOW NO MERIT" Syndrome

Adverse Effects of "Impunious" Manipulations......otherwise called "PDP Syndrome"
Since the draws, matches and victories of UEFA Champions' League, I've (and sure most of U also) read many of analytical combinations and permutations on how FIFA via UEFA influenced the pairing of the teams towards maximising profits at the Final Match from attendance. Not a few Football-Loving Nigerians turned Analytical writers.
First, they cried "PDP!" when the two Spanish teams weren't paired to play in the Semi-Final. They accused FIFA via UEFA of trying to set up another "Classico" with the Final. When the 1st-legs of the crucial matches were played and the two German clubs won, these unfortunate analysts suffering from this PDP- Syndrome started calculating match dates; 23+4+13= 40 to them meaning Bayern Munich 4 and Barcelona 0. Same with 24+4+13= 41 which they also shared; Dortmond 4 and Madrid 1. All these analysis geared towards supporting that the fixtures were "manipulatedly" fixed. They never considered the word "Merit" because the illness our ruling party has subjected us to in Nigeria has made "Merit", Anathema.
We've been so subjected to this syndrome that many now think that everything is "Fixed" in every society and in all enterprise. Nigeria has been eaten so deep by this syndrome that our ruling party even has one "Mr. Fit It"as the Party BOT Chairman. Hence, almost everything; appointments, contracts, election results, JAMB results, crude-oil output, state governments allocations and even Violence are all fixed and manipulated by the party at the centre. It was in Bayelsa not quite long ago, had also been in Ogun and Ondo states, they have tried severally in Edo and Imo States but about succeeding in Rivers state.
Can any nation ever succeed with this syndrome that corrupts and eats that part of our human cells, which make us strive for "Merits"??? And with all our "Fixing and Manipulation", they can not stir this "God blessed" nation in the path of economic and technological growths for about 14years they've enjoyed power-syndrome. Instead, they've infested the masses with this "know no merit" syndrome.

Turning Black into White..........

As "White" can never be seen as "Black", so is "Imitation" can never be seen as "Genuine". White is White, as Black is Black! Yeah, the two as colours can mix to produce "Gray" and in fabric, to produce "Ash".
The Western world as the "White" race of our earthly globe has really done almost an equal amount of "Bad" and "Good" to man's existence on this Planet. Their feat in Science and Technology can never be wished away. They've so bridged our Continents Abstractly, that they're now just Seconds away. But the Real harm they've done to some societies Culture and Tradition can not also be swept under the carpet.
All the world religions originated from Middle-East (Asia) and were exported to the West, where they were all "Re engineered" and "Repackaged". Even the act of "Reading and Writing" didn't start from the West, but they've so confiscated the act that what are to be "Read", "Written" or "Thought" are now determined only by them.
Fortunately enough, our Asian brothers (the "Yellow" race, as one of my "Western" expatriate boss hated hearing the calling of a Chinese, "White") are doing real good in imitating Science and Technology from the West. Even our "Red" brothers; the Mexicans, Brazilians, etc aren't doing much bad in this imitation either.
We, the "Black" race are not doing that "Bad" in the areas we've decided to imitate.
Instead of imitating Science and Technology, we went for Culture, Tradition and the "Re engineered and Repackaged" Religions.
It's still seen as "Miracle" in Nigeria to meet all the ATMs in a Bank working at any given time. Our GSM and Internet provisions are not fairing better either. Our erratic electric power supply is now nursery rhythms in our kindergarten schools.
But we've so imitated the culture and traditions of the "Whites" to the extent that some of our languages are now on the verge of extinction. Nakedness has become a dress-style and nothing is considered as "Taboo" in our communities these days. With the newly introduction of "Sex-Education" as a Core Subject in our Junior Secondary schools syllabus, our Churches will soon incorporate "Divorce" and "Same-Sex Marriage" in their Doctrines. All in the name of turning "Black" into "White".

If Wishes were Horses, I would've preferred to be that Philantropic Rochas of the Rochas Foundation.
An Igbo man that's better Loved and Appreciated by our Northern brothers because of his immense presence there.
The man that was always the second best in every Presidential Primaries.
I've would've limited my political targeted post to only that of the Presidential Seat and nothing would've ever made me reduce to Gobernatorial. And from the way things are going, LG Chairmanship may be a very Tall-Dream for my Wish-Man come 2015.
I would've continued keeping people in Awe of me and the spirit that guides my dealings.
... I wouldn't have made myself an Oke-Okpa (Rooster) that was highly respected and feared by the animal kingdom because of their misconception about his Ara (Comb) which they took to be a Crown of Fire (Okpu Uku), only for the Rooster to call every "Dick and Harry" of the animal kingdom to touch his "Fire Crown" to know that it has 'Nothing' to hold them in Awe of him.
Our very dear Rochas has confirmed to us once more that "Nde Rev. Fada ji asukwa Trousers".
His Telenovia drama with JPros and his former Deputer has really punctuated his "Man of the People" stance with a BIG QUESTION Mark????
Only that he has also decided to do a sequel of the drama with a very bad Script of an Accident and Medical trip to abroad.
If people are Stone Blind.............My wish of being able to see has already been granted by Almighty God .......Years ago.

Administrators of "Cowardice and Timidity"

It's very unfortunate that our nation Nigeria is manned by "Administrative" Coward and Shy people. Otherwise, how can anyone explain to me why all our Ministers should continue singing same song, with same tone, rhythm,  beat and key? Prof. Barth Nnaji spent his time in Power ministry singing this song of how a "Cabal" has made our country to be more than 50years behind in our Electric Power Generation. Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke has been singing same song for years now on why Nigeria cannot refine her Crude-Oil for domestic consumption and possible exportation. Prof. Chinedu Nebo, current Power Minister has also started practicing this "ignoble song of doom" of how a "Cabal" is depriving Nigerians "Electric Power". An amenity other nations, even smaller African countries are enjoying 'uninterruptedly' for years with 'reckless' abandon. Granted that most Nigeria's private sector driven businesses (including General Overseers ran Churches) are planted with 'Selfish Seeds' and fertilized with 'Unpatriotic Acts', the populace are very tired of listening to this Song. We don't want a song written in "Collective 'Adjectival' Noun" any more but one composed in "Proper Nouns". Simply put, the masses want those in Adminitrative positions iNigeria to be "Courageous" and "Bold" enough to name (First name, Middle name and Surname) the members of this "Cabal", at least to for us (the Masses) to know if they're being used as "Excuses" for Non-Performance.

The too many Dramas of my State; Imo Since after the administration of late Dee Sam Onunaka Mbakwe (PhD.), Imo State has been suffering from one form of administrative drama or another especially from our so-called democratically elected Governors . It all started with Evan Enwerem (God rest his soul) and his alleged embezzlement of funds raised for Imo Airport. The drama ended with a brilliant episode that taught us the difference between "Evan" and "Evans" as our Governor then claimed to be "Evan" Which's a "First name" and not "Evans" that's a "Surname". Then came Achike Udenwa and Eight (8) years rule. His own script centered on a battle within his party PDP but between Federal (Abuja based) Faction led by Ararume/Kema Chikwe and State (Onu-ga-Onu) faction. After a sort of Nollywood shelling and bombing with accusations and counter-accusations, the drama came to an end with Achike Udenwa decamping to ACN while rigging the election for Ohakim (the Ikiri) who also left PDP to contest with PPA mandate. The Imo Drama Relay continued with The Ikiri Ohakim. The prologue of his act was the interlocking of pedestrian walk in the first week of his administration. On the second week all the interlocks were removed and carpet grasses planted, giving rise to the Movie name "Clean and Green". This was the beginning of my worry with the Lead-Role Ikiri. Even if only N500 was used to do the interlocks and N300 used to remove them, equated to WASTED N800. Hence, implying that The Ikiri had no "Thought Out" plan or mechanism or master-plan to be employed in his administration. He was only driven by ego, to become Famous and have a name attached to his era in Imo State. The epilogue was the dredging of Nwaorie (a seasonal) stream. If accomplished, it would had become the 8th-Wonder of the World. For those of us that know Owerri and it's features very well, you'll agree with me that it's far much easier to dredge Otamiri river than Nwaorie. But our Ikiri with his unwritten and undrawn master-plan decided to go with Nwaorie, making me to recall what my senior cousin who retired as Principal Accountant in Imo state Governor's office during the military era. He told me then that Milad Tanko Abubakar loved using projects that were very hard to quantify like Fumigation to harness our commonwealth in Imo State. The same tactics was used by The Ikiri in his Nwaorie River dredge and Oguta Wonder Lake. To get an expert to estimate the work done on these projects will cost more than the expended funds on the projects as Imo state will have to bring in expatriates to get the approximate figures. The drama "Clean and Green" ended by leaving Owerri and Imo State, "Dirtier and Slummy" than it met them. Then comes our "Foundation" man Rochas Kanayo Okoroacha with his cast Martin Agbaso. Thus far, the lead-role has been played by the former Deputy Gov. Jude Agbaso who was impeached on N500 Million bribery allegation for a road project that was never followed the due processes of advertising or public bidding. Meanwhile, the Act-1 Scene-1 is a Comprehensive Scholarships given to all Imo indigenes no matter their educational level in the State, but those in Tertiary institutions are alleged to still paying N20, 000. So I wonder why is it not better to call this "Tuition Fees Reduction" instead of "Scholarship". The present administration has also proven to be better in "Behind The Scene" acts than in "On The Stage" displays. While the dramas continue,  I'm still waiting for the full episode of Owelle's Vice Presidential ambition.

Is Nigeria really on the right track?

Nigerian "Idol"  has come to an end and someone has won Millions for "Entertaining" both Live and On-Screen audience for some days.
Soon, Big Brother Africa will commence and the "Entertainment" with its attendant Millions continues.... There are also many other not
Quite popular Reality TV-Shows, all on "Entertainment". This has gradually become the only sector where Nigeria is at par with USA and
higher than many other "Developed" nations of the world.
I've been wondering why no one or company want to organise Nigerian "Idol" on Science and Technology. In a nation that imports Toothpicks,
Padlocks,  Screwdriver , Kitchen Utensils,  etc from other countries. A nation that has no functional Research Centers, Good Hospitals or equipped Institutions of Higher-Learning.  A country that can not refine or add value to any of its God given resources including Human. I'm sure most of the contestants on this "Entertainment Idol" learned the trade from other bcountries but now "Nigerian Idol".
Can any History student tell me the age of development (Stone, Iron, etc) Nigeria is now. Or has it passed (jumped, should be more appropriate) all those stages of development and has caught up with USA on Entertainment Age? Our History books will tell us that all the developed nations when at this our stage of "Import Dependent", left everything and faced essentials.  Entertainment should come after Hardwork but Nigeria in her ironical fame , has come to be known as a nation that put the Cart before the Horse. And she's still Achieving unmeasurable feats. Is that not a Miracle???
No wonder, the only two successful sectors in Nigeria are; Entertainment and Religion Industries.
